Why the app

Light, signed, always current

The app is the Rakit studio, sitting on your phone’s home screen and a tap away.

  • Light

Just 2.1 MB — easy on mobile data and on your phone’s storage.

  • Signed and checked

Every version is signed with Rakit’s own key, and Android will not install an update with another signature over the app. Each update file is also checked against its SHA-256 before it installs.

  • Updates itself

When a new version is out, the app tells you, downloads it and opens Android’s own installer. No need to come back to this page.

  • One account, phone and web

Sign in with the same mobile number and you have the same sites and the same bundle — in the app and on app.rakit.ir.

Inside the app

The same studio, on a phone screen

The app is the studio at app.rakit.ir. These two pictures are the studio itself at phone width — not a mock-up.

Install

Install in four steps

Only the first time. Later versions arrive inside the app.

  1. 1

    Tap download

Rakit’s APK file downloads. If the browser warns you about APK files, confirm the download.

  2. 2

    Open the file

Tap the Rakit file in the download notification or in your Downloads folder.

  3. 3

    Allow the install

The first time, Android holds installs from your browser until you allow them: tap Settings, turn on allow from this source for your browser, and go back. On Android 7 the same switch is under Security, as Unknown sources.

  4. 4

    Install and sign in

Tap Install, open Rakit and sign in with your mobile number — the same account you use on the site.

The first time the app updates itself, Android asks once more — this time for Rakit itself. After that, every update is a single confirmation.

Questions

Before you install

Didn’t find your question?

Contact us
Is the Rakit app free?

Yes. Downloading and installing the app costs nothing. Rakit itself runs on one-time bundles — the same bundles and prices as on the site; the app has no price of its own.

Is Rakit on Google Play or Cafe Bazaar?

Not yet. The Android app is downloaded only from this page, straight from Rakit’s own server (app.rakit.ir). Get the file here: a copy passed around elsewhere may have been tampered with.

Is installing Rakit’s APK safe?

The file comes from Rakit’s own server and is signed with Rakit’s key; Android installs over the app only a version that carries the same signature. To check it yourself, the file’s and the certificate’s SHA-256 are under File details on this page.

What permissions does the app ask for?

Internet; the microphone, only for typing by voice; vibration, for short taps; and permission to install, only so it can install its own new version. It does not ask to read your contacts, gallery, location or text messages.

Which Android version do I need?

Android 7 (Nougat) or newer. You can see yours in Settings, under About phone.

I have an iPhone. What now?

The app is Android-only for now. On an iPhone, open app.rakit.ir in Safari — it is the same studio, with the same account.

How is the app different from the web version?

Both are the Rakit studio, with the same account. The app sits on your home screen, opens with a tap and tells you when a new version is out; the web version needs no install and works in any browser, on a phone or a computer.

I installed an earlier version. How do I update?

If you got version 1.1 from the site, download the new version from this page once and install it; it goes over the same app and your account stays as it is. From version 1.2 on, updates come from inside the app.

Have Rakit on your phone.

Or start right now in a browser, no install.
